Spring is by far my favorite season of the year, and part of that includes the deep clean I do. Keeping your space clean can be difficult while in college because we’re busy with thousands of other distractions. To help you stay safe and healthy this spring, I have created a list of tips that will keep your space clean.
1. Clean your cutting board.
Not being able to deep clean your cutting board is one of the biggest cleaning myths there is. Leftover food stains and smells will be gone simply by rubbing the cut side of a lemon on the board.
2. Rummage through the refrigerator.
You should continue to remove any expired food from your fridge, but also physically cleaning the fridge is very important. Take this one step further by re-organizing your fridge space.
3. Organize the junk drawer.
If you’re like me, you definitely have a junk drawer used as a home for random items. Start by emptying out the drawer, and then find a new way to keep it organized! If you have extra bowls, repurpose them by storing cords, stamps, or batteries.
4. Wash your shower curtain.
Cleaning your shower curtains often gets pushed to the wayside; it’s not something we typically think to clean. Just throw it in the wash along with some towels and allow it to hang dry before showering.
5. Give the furniture some attention.
Pull the furniture away from the walls and vacuum! Be sure to get not only the space behind the furniture, but all of the dirt that may be in the furniture’s stitching.
