Needless to say, this year has not unfolded in the way anyone expected it to. I don’t know what your plans for this year were, but I was planning on spending this semester abroad. While quarantine can seem boring, there are plenty of things you can still do while at home. Take advantage of this opportunity to do everything you’ve wanted to, but have put off.
Pick up a new hobby
If you’ve wanted to always experiment with drawing, read a book or play the guitar, quarantine is giving us ample time to learn a new skill and practice it.
Redo your room
Quarantine is the perfect time to do what you’ve been putting off forever. Whether that be going through old clothes and knick-knacks or redesigning your bedroom all together, there are plenty of ways to clean out your room.
Focus on your mind and body
Everyone gets stressed out and quarantine is giving us time to focus on our physical and mental health. Practicing meditation or yoga, working out, or doing another activity that will help relax you can be very beneficial during this time.
Watch Netflix
Netflix might not be the most beneficial way to pass time during quarantine, but I would be lying if I said I hadn’t been binging Netflix myself. If you want to spend time watching Netflix, try watching a TV show or movie that’s out of your comfort zone!
TikTok
TikTok is a great way to pass the time if you want to just sit around and do nothing. I have been spending hours on this app because it can be very entertaining. While most people just use social media in bed, TikTok is famous for having popular dances to catchy songs. Even though it’s not a full workout, there are definitely some dances from TikTok you can learn that will make you break a sweat.
