Regardless of how much makeup your routine includes, adding some go-to lipstick shades can (literally) bring a pop of color into your day. The following are six beautiful – and for the most part, pretty affordable – lipsticks that should suit plenty of everyday makeup looks!
1. Soap & Glory Creme Lipstick in “Super Nude”

This lipstick, which can easily be obtained from the local drugstore, is a great neutral shade. The formula is super-soft and not drying on the lips, with a pretty full pigmentation that does not leave a stain. Every time you pop off the sleek rose-gold cap, you are also greeted by the product’s sweet, vanilla cupcake-esque scent (if you have tried any Tarte eyeshadow palettes, the smell is pretty similar). Great coverage, a color that works with lots of makeup looks, and that also smells amazing? This lipstick has it all, and for a reasonable price.
2 + 3. Burt’s Bees Satin Lipstick in “Sunset Cruise” and “Suede Splash”

Burt’s Bees first released makeup in the summer of 2017 after building their brand on beeswax-infused lip balm. As one might imagine, their satin formula lipsticks are also great products for your lips. They are packed with plant extracts and oils that are designed to hydrate your lips with natural moisture, and they come in 18 natural and flattering shades. The two colors shown above are great for days you may want to incorporate some red or berry tones into your makeup look in a more subtle way.
4. Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lip Kit in “Charm”

For those who prefer the look and feel of liquid lipsticks, Kylie Jenner’s namesake makeup brand truly does offer some great products. In particular, her velvet liquid lipsticks offer a semi-matte look that is not nearly as drying on the lips. The slight sheen to these lipsticks also suits daytime and more natural looks well. In particular, Charm is a great everyday shade because the slight mauve undertones can add a bit of bold color to a look, but still be light enough to be worn to work or class. All of Kylie’s lipsticks also feature a scrumptious, sugary frosting scent. If you are willing to pay a bit more for a lip product that you will get great use from, this one is certainly worth the splurge.
5. Clinique Pop Glaze Sheer Lip Colour + Primer in “Sugar Plum Pop”

Clinique’s makeup has been applauded for years for being free of phthalates, parabens, and fragrances, making it a great brand for those with sensitive skin. The same certainly can be said about their lipsticks, and those with all skin types can appreciate the soft and smooth application of this product. This color is especially great for everyday because it offers a brighter, yet still natural, pink shade in a balmy sort of finish. Your lips are left with a subtle tint of color, perfect for those “no makeup makeup” days or for when you want a softer, sweeter vibe to your look.
6. Colourpop Lux Lipstick in “Still Crazy”

Colourpop’s super silky, moisturizing creme lipsticks have a large fan base, and the brand is continually adding new shades to the collection. Still Crazy is one of these newer colors, and it has a lot of versatility. It is a deeper shade of pink with some hints of magenta, but is still light enough to suit plenty of everyday makeup looks. By adding a swipe of lip balm or clear gloss to your lips before applying this lipstick, you can also thin out the color to better suit your look.
Clinique lipsticks are really underrated, in my opinion. That one looks so nice! Great post 🙂
