Finals are just around the corner, and you know what that means: the disappearance of your social life, long hours spent studying, and too many sleepless nights. With all the time you’re going to spend studying instead of sleeping you’re bound to get hungry, and I know just the places to get you through your thick stack of math equations. Ranked one through nine, check out these food spots on your next late night.
9. Wingin’ Out

I’ve never been to Wingin’ Out, which is the main reason why it is ranked as low as it is. However, I feel like wings are too messy for a midnight meal and are the kind of food that I am never in the right mood for, so I am compelled to leave this joint in the ninth slot. Props for sauce variety, though.
8. Jimmy John’s

I’m a firm believer in late-night snacks being greasy, and that’s why I had to rank Jimmy John’s so low, even though everyone raves about it. And, another thing – cold sandwiches are not the way to my heart when I’m trying to indulge before and after countless hours of studying. I need something warm and toasty to relax myself, and Jimmy John’s can’t give me that. This place is known for good, relatively healthy sandwiches though, so it is a nice option!
7. D.P. Dough

Though I have never actually eaten at D.P. Dough, I know it satisfies the greasy criteria with its calzones overflowing with melted cheese and a seemingly endless array of fillings. This automatically puts it above Wingin’ Out and Jimmy John’s. Unfortunately, without tasting the food, I cannot rank it any higher than No. 7. Maybe next year, D.P. Dough.
6. Merry Ann’s Diner

If you’re a breakfast-for-dinner person, Merry Ann’s has your name written all over it with pancakes, crispy bacon, and fluffy eggs served throughout the day and night. However, I am not, so I could only place the diner at No. 6, though it does offer lunch and dinner options as well. The lackluster atmosphere is what cemented my ranking decision.
5. Manolo’s Pizza & Empanadas

Open until 2:30 a.m., Manolo’s is there for your food cravings when you need it most. Its award-winning pizzas do not disappoint and boast unique flavor profiles, such as the Apple Butter Bacon and the Chicken Carbonara, alongside classics. What makes Manolo’s even more one-of-a-kind are its tasty empanadas. The portability makes them great on-the-go snacks for the night.
4. 57 North

Not everyone knows about the gems hidden at 57, and I think the secret needs to be let out once and for all. Its crunchy-shelled quesadillas, finger-licking good boneless chicken wings, and endless supply of junk food always hits the spot. The only thing keeping the store from being any higher is that it closes at midnight, which is way too early considering 1 a.m. appears to be when my hunger pangs kick in.
3. Domino’s

There is never a bad time for pizza, and the early morning hours are no exception. Pepperoni, extra cheese, garlic sauce, lava cakes — Domino’s has everything your heart could ever desire and more. It knows me better than I know myself. For a reliably delicious second dinner guaranteed to fulfill your greasy needs, head over to Domino’s.
2. Insomnia Cookies

Insomnia is the perfect place to grab yourself an after-hours pick-me-up; the name itself is proof. Simply call in or order online, and your cookies will be delivered promptly (still warm, of course). Just make sure to wait until closer to the end of your studying to order, so that the crash after your sugar high lulls you into a much-needed deep sleep.
1. McDonald’s

Is anyone really surprised this is the top choice? There is something about this eatery’s salty menu items that keeps everyone who eats them coming back for more. In fact, I don’t know a single person who doesn’t enjoy McDonald’s fries. Not only is the food delectable and addicting, but the prices are affordable, granting McDonald’s the coveted No. 1 spot on this list.
