Four Road Trips to Take This Winter Break

By Mea Donnelly

Winter break can be a drag. After about a week, hanging out with family is boring, nothing good is on TV, and you’ve already done everything you planned to do. If you have a significant other or even just someone you’re interested in, you’ve probably been racking your brain to come up with ideas for what to do over break together. What is a better way to escape those winter blues than a road trip? Both of you can blast your favorite music, sing at the top of your lungs, and explore the Midwest together. Here are four quick Chicagoland road trip ideas for you and your boo during the holiday season.

This year, Six Flags is having a Holiday in the Park. Rides will be open, and Santa will be making an appearance. If amusement parks aren’t your thing, Gurnee is also home to one of the largest outlet malls in the Chicago area. To find out more about Holiday in the Park, click here.
