Dear Readers,
Happy summer! It’s hard to believe that only a few weeks ago, we were cramming for finals and longing for these warm, relaxing days. Now that our first full month of summer is here, it’s important to make the most of each day! Here are my recommendations for what to incorporate into your routine this June.
EATING

Ice cream and summer days have always been a dynamic duo, so why not put a fresh twist on the beloved combination? Dipped ice cream cones transform ordinary soft serve with a sweet crunch. Depending on where you go, you could find some bolder flavors, such as cherry or blue raspberry, to adorn your ice cream. Regardless of which flavor you choose, these dipped cones are a sweet, delicious addition any day.
DRINKING

Temperatures are steadily climbing, so drinking water is a must. Infusing your H20 with fresh fruits and vegetables is a healthy way to stay hydrated this summer. Just wash and cut up your ideal mix of fruits or veggies the night before, toss them into your water the next day, and you’re set! It’s quick, affordable and refreshing – what more could you ask from an everyday beverage?
WATCHING

Both avid and occasional YouTube watchers will enjoy Kelsey Simone’s channel. Fashion and beauty videos are her specialty, and she is known for keeping them short and sweet, but still very informative. If her humor and adorable smile don’t win you over, her modern and chill aesthetic definitely will. Here is a recent summer lookbook from Kelsey to help you get a sense of her style:
WEARING

In terms of your makeup, cruise through June with a natural, radiant glow. A blend of nude and pink shadow on the lids, combined with a touch of warmer tones such as gold or burnt orange, will dazzle in the summer sun. Pair that with some rosy blush, a glossy neutral lip and your brightest highlighter for an everyday, effortless look. Whether you’re lounging poolside or going for a ride with the windows down, this makeup combination will shine bright.
DOING

Let’s start off the month right by being active! Go biking or jogging, take a leisurely stroll through your local park, or get in a few laps around the pool. If you have a job or internship this summer, now is also the perfect time to explore the town where you’re working if you’ve never been there before! Whatever your plans are this June, just make sure to pencil in some time for the great outdoors. Getting in some exercise will make you feel better and keep your energy up for all the summer adventures yet to come.
