Don’t movies just have the best and most dramatic soundtracks sometimes? When you hear the songs randomly, you’re like “Oh, this song is from Mean Girls,” but nobody ever knows what the song is called or who sings it. Well today, I’m going to share with you some of my favorite songs from my favorite movies.
I honestly think Step Up had one of the best movie soundtracks of all time.
The movie offers so many catchy tracks to dance to from artists like Ciara, Sean Paul, Yung Joc, and much more. One of the most memorable songs in the movie is the last one when Nora and Tyler had their final performance. The song is an instrumental called “Bout It” by Yung Joc featuring 3LW. Even if you can’t dance, this song will have you learning the moves and dancing along.
Another song that I absolutely love from the film is called “Give It Up To Me” by Sean Paul featuring Keyshia Cole. The video was uploaded to YouTube in 2009, and some of the comments include “This song will never die, it’s impossible” and “Back when music was real…” so I would definitely recommend this song as well.
Other songs from the film:
- Show Me the Money – Petey Pablo
- Get Up – Ciara
White Chicks is another movie that has a pretty good movie soundtrack as well. Remember the scene when Brittany and Tiffany A.K.A Kevin and Marcus where in the club having a dance battle with the Vandergeld’s? They danced to songs like Crazy in Love by Beyonce and It’s Tricky by RUN-DMC. That scene was pretty legendary.
Speaking of legendary, we couldn’t forget the one song that will always be remembered from the movie White Chicks. Instead of telling you about it, I’ll just show you. This one is called “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton.
Other songs from the film:
- Move Your Feet – Junior Senior
- Let’s Get It Started – Black Eyed Peas
- Tipsy – J-Kwon
- Hey Ms. Hilton – Penfifteen Club
- U Can’t Touch This – MC Hammer
- This Love – Maroon 5
This next movie is probably ten times better because of it’s actual movie soundtrack. 13 Going On 30 has so many throwbacks. Even though it was released in the early 2000s it has a few songs from the ’80s. The movie is also very upbeat and fun, which is why the soundtrack is so amazing. One scene includes the song “Love Is a Battlefield” by Pat Benatar, as some of the girls in the movie have a fun sleepover.
Another legendary scene from the film is when the cast dances to “Thriller.” Just watch:
