In celebration of Illinois’ homecoming and the State Farm Center’s grand reopening, British indie rock band The 1975 came to campus on October 28. They performed a roughly two-hour set in front of beautiful graphics and lights and sounded great live.

The 1975 performs their song “City” in front of a cityscape.
An underwater graphic lent a meditative vibe to an instrumental part of the show.

Bassist Ross MacDonald performs a solo.
This was my first concert at the State Farm Center and I was curious as to how it would go, but The 1975 filled the large space and made it feel small. I had a great time at the show and highly recommend you check out one of the many upcoming concerts on campus!
