It’s that time of year again, ladies and gentlemen. It’s time for Christmas music! Here are the ultimate must-haves for your 2015 Christmas playlist.
The number one song that should be on your playlist is “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” The most popular version of this song is sung by Mariah Carey, but be sure to give other versions a listen as well. Fifth Harmony, Trey Songz and Michael Buble have also covered the song, and their versions are pretty good too. Maybe you can have them all on your playlist – the more the merrier!
Chris Brown’s song “This Christmas,” a single for the 2007 movie of the same title, is another great addition to your playlist. It has been a Christmas hit every since the film’s release. After a few plays, you will most likely find yourself singing and snapping along to the rhythm.
If you want to listen to some older Christmas music, listen to “8 Days of Christmas” by Destiny’s Child. Their Christmas album, 8 Days of Christmas, came out 14 years ago but the album’s funky and fresh feel has made it into a classic.
Michael Buble has a different sound from the artists mentioned above, but his song “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” is such a nice song for your Christmas playlist. Make sure it is the first song you hear when you see snow on the ground for the first time this winter.
“Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande is a love song, but towards the end you will probably catch yourself clapping and singing along as though you are in church. If your favorite part of listening to Christmas music is singing along, this song is definitely perfect for you.
The final song you should add to your playlist is “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber. It is a softer love song, but the best playlists have a little variety! Try something new this holiday season. Playing this song for your friends will be a great way to spread some holiday cheer.
Here are some other great songs to spice up your Christmas playlist:
- B2K – “Jingle Bells”
- Chris Brown – “Try A Little Tenderness”
- TLC – “Sleigh Ride”
- Mariah Carey – “Oh Santa!”
- Mary J Blige, Jessie J – “Do You Hear What I Hear?”
- Destiny’s Child – “Carol Of The Bells”
- Meghan Trainor – “I’ll Be Home”
