I can’t even begin to express the irritation that takes over my bod when I go to lecture and the room is infested with contaminated and germy human beings. It really just annoys the heck out of me. Allow me to introduce you to Wednesday Woe: a venting section about the things that can really make us all tick.
My personal woe has to be sick people coming to class. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that we all want to be the ideal student that never misses a day of class. However, if it sounds like you’re coughing up enough mucus to fill a water bottle, by all means, DON’T COME TO CLASS. Not only does that sound disgusting, but it’s also inconsiderate.
I don’t want your germs. Leave them at home!
I can’t count the number of times that I’ve come to class and I can’t hear the professor because of the choir of coughers in the room. If you’re reading this and you think that you’re one of those people who cough and sniff throughout lecture, here are some words of advice. Take medicine! It does work. Keep some cough drops, Kleenex and hand sanitizer in your backpack, and PLEASE cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough.
Or, just keep me healthy by not coming to class. 🙂
